About BASIC:
Hey everyone! Welcome to BASIC. Beauty Bar. I launched BASIC. In september of 2019, but started working on the idea about 2 years prior. My full intention was to open the only one of its kind, a one stop shop. My idea was simple -I wanted to create a place where you could go to get everything from your hair to your toes (literally) done, grab an outfit and then hit the town. BASIC. has always been a welcoming place for everyone, and that was and will always be my main goal. Offering a place that anyone can walk into and immediately feel welcomed, loved, and safe.
I knew I wanted to work with empowered women running their own businesses (like myself), so, within BASIC. there are numerous salon professionals. We have Hair stylists, barbers, lash technicians, nail technicians, and estheticians. We are always welcoming of other professions within the beauty industry.
In the front of our salon we have a clothing boutique, carrying brands such as BB Dakota, JACK by BB Dakota, and Cupcakes and Cashmere.
We are a loving, close-knit, & professional salon & medispa. We pride ourselves on our ethics and being the best at our crafts. We offer the most luxurious and high end experiences.
About The Owner, Brittany:
I graduated from Memorial University in 2015 with a Psychology, Law and Society, and Business degree (indecisiveness has always been my thing, so why not do everything?). I worked with my business degree right out of school co-owning another local business. While I loved the work I was doing I knew it wasn't a true passion of mine. I decided to continue studying and gaining experience with something I always loved doing on friends and family, and officially took my first eyelash extension course. Everything from there grew quickly, I studied under other lash professions, perfecting my techniques while working out of my house on the side, I became a lash trainer, and continued on within the beauty industry and decided to get my Medical aesthetics certificate. Now I offer a variety of services and training.

What is your favourite skincare product that you can't live without?
B: Definitely DMK Actrol Powder. I use it all day, everyday.
What is your favourite TV show?
B: Greys anatomy for sure. I'm a true fan.
What is your favourite food?
B: Thats a hard one. I love all food, a lot. But the thing I crave the most is probably sushi.
What is your favourite thing about being an aesthetician?
B: Helping people. And meeting people.
Night in or Night out?
B: At the point in life I'm at right now I would have to say night in for sure. With 3 young kids right now I'm lacking sleep and motivation to get ready and go out.
Whats your sign?
B: Scorpio.
What is your favourite thing to do?
B: Watching movies and having belly laughs with my kids. With a side of playing hair dresser with my daughter.
Cook or take out?
B: Theres something super fun and relaxing about cooking a nice meal. But, with 3 young kids running around, and going through multiple moods a minute it makes it difficult sometimes.
